International Scattering Society, Inc. was founded to educate and to assist families with scattering cremated remains worldwide.
Our mission is to allow families to honor the wishes of their loved one in an economical way, ensuring that local as well as international regulations are met. We are one of the first scattering companies to offer scattering services internationally. The laws and regulations vary in different countries, and our staff are experts in handling international scattering requests. International Scattering Society is also the only scattering company to provide scattering services at Mount Everest.

 Permit Service: I.S.S. I. Can help you with local contacts, acquiring permission or obtaining a permit. Through our permit service we will investigate all the options available for you to personally scatter the remains of your loved one. We have been called the “Travel agency for the deceased.”
Society Member Scattering: With our Society Member Scattering, an I.S.S.I. member will perform the scattering for you at the location of your choice. Our Society Members and Network Providers enable us to reach some of the most beautiful and serene locations in the world. Our Eco-friendly locations are popular with those who wish to reduce their carbon footprint even after death. All areas are accessed by foot or through self-propelled means, no planes or boats using fossil fuels are used.
Register with us: We will keep a record of your wishes, keep you updated as more locations become available, as well as changes in the laws regarding scattering. You may also want to pre-pay for your scattering service. Pre-payment will guarantee future scattering services at today’s prices. Give your family peace of mind by taking the guess- work out of your final wishes.
Coming Soon - Scattering Location Database: our free searchable database allows you to record the name, date of death and scattering location of your loved one. You do not need to have used our service to participate in this first of its kind database. Generations to come will find this a useful tool in geneology.
